State Mandated Training

CDS is the Training Coordinating Agency recognized by the Department of Children & Families to provide State Training Certification in Marion, Lake, Sumter, Citrus and Hernando counties. We offer child care training certification program, which meets the minimum introductory training requirement for all child care practitioners.

Florida Child Care Professional Credential or FCCPC, Birth – Five Specialization

FCCPC Birth – Five Specialization offered by Childhood Development Services is an approved credential program for the State of Florida. This program is a career step for early child care education with an emphasis on early childhood birth to five. Discover how to best and most effectively influence development by building the skills necessary to provide high quality care for infants, toddlers and preschoolers in any setting.

A participant successfully completing the course will be awarded an FCCPC credential with a Birth – Five specialization that meets the State of Florida Licensing requirements.

Live Scan – Background Screen

Live scan fingerprinting is the process of capturing fingerprints electronically with our advanced Crossmatch machine. With Live Scan fingerprinting, there is no ink or card. Your fingerprints are “rolled” across a glass plate and scanned. We are a ACHA and FDLE Approved vendor.

We provide Live Scan fingerprinting services for a wide variety of state agencies, programs and industries including: Child Care, Construction  Industry LicensĀ­ ing, Education,  Financial Services,  Health Care,  Human  Services,  Insurance,  Real Estate, and many more!

Healthy Families Citrus

Healthy Families Citrus is part of the nationally accredited Healthy Families Florida statewide home visiting program proven to prevent child abuse and ever starts. The  program  provide free, voluntary home visiting services that increase the knowledge and skills of parents  so  their  children  can  grow  up healthy, safe, nurtured and ready to succeed in life.  Home visits are more frequent in the beginning and taper off as the family becomes more stable and self-sufficient.   Services can last up to five years, depending on the needs of the family.

USDA Food Program

Sponsorship for Provider  Reimbursement for Breakfast, AM Snacks, Lunch, PM Snacks and Dinner through contract arrangements with Family Child Care Homes and Private Child Care Facilities. Monitoring of menus and technical assistance with preparation and monitoring of food preparation. CDS can provide this service to Home Daycares and Centers.
